Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
A1 Auto Styling takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you ask for a quote or book a service, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we keep it safe.
Who we are
"A1 Auto Styling" is a registered business name of Beau Ronald McClymont (ABN 93 781 460 967), trading as a sole trader from Unit 26 / 13–15 Ellerslie Rd, Meadowbrook QLD 4131. References to "A1 Auto Styling", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy mean Beau McClymont trading as A1 Auto Styling.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how A1 Auto Styling collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to this website, our online booking system, any enquiry by phone, email, text, social media or in person, and our mobile and workshop services.
Personal information we collect
We collect only the information we need to quote, book, deliver and follow up on your service:
- Your name and preferred contact method
- Phone number and email address
- Service address (for mobile bookings) or pickup location
- Vehicle details: make, model, year, colour, registration, and current condition
- Photos of your vehicle before and after service, for the work record and (with your permission) social media
- Service history with us, including the work performed and any products applied
- Payment records (when you book through Urable, payment is handled by Urable's gateway — we never see or store your full card number)
- Communications between you and us across email, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and the website contact form
- Basic technical data when you use the website (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referral source) collected via cookies and analytics
We do not seek sensitive information (health, race, political views, biometrics) and ask that you do not send it. If you do, we will delete it.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you when you fill in the quote form, book online, message us on social, call, text or speak with us in person. Technical website data is collected automatically via Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager). Photos and service notes are taken in the course of doing the work.
Why we collect it and how we use it
We use your information to:
- Provide a quote and confirm a booking
- Carry out the service and document the work
- Process payment
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders and follow-ups
- Answer questions before, during and after the service
- Manage any warranty claims or callbacks
- Improve our service quality and respond to feedback
- Comply with Australian tax law and any other applicable legal obligation
We do not send marketing emails or SMS unless you have opted in.
Photos of your vehicle
We take before-and-after photos of every vehicle we work on. These photos are kept on our work records and used internally for service documentation and warranty support.
We will not post photos of your vehicle to social media or our website without your permission. If you want your vehicle featured (on Instagram, TikTok, the gallery on this site or in marketing), we will ask first. If you have already said yes and change your mind, message us and we will remove the post.
Who we share it with
We only share your personal information with third parties when we need to. Specifically:
- Booking + payment platform (Urable, by Urable LLC) — manages online bookings, deposit collection, payment processing and reminders. Urable is PCI-DSS compliant; we never see or store your full card details.
- Email provider (Google Workspace, by Google LLC) —
contact@a1autostyling.com.auis a Google Workspace mailbox. Google's privacy policy applies to mail in transit and at rest in that mailbox. - Website hosting (Hostinger International Ltd) — runs the web server, MySQL database that stores quote-form submissions, and the email transit infrastructure for outbound mail from the website.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4 loaded via Google Tag Manager, by Google LLC) — aggregated website usage data only, not used to identify you personally. Consent is captured via the CookieYes banner at the bottom-left of every page.
- Accountant or bookkeeper — for tax and BAS preparation.
- Government or courts — where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising purposes outside what is described above.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies for basic functionality, Google Tag Manager + Google Analytics 4 for understanding how visitors use the site, and CookieYes (by CookieYes Limited) to record your consent choice. Analytics is used in aggregate — not to identify you personally.
You can manage your cookie preferences via the CookieYes banner at the bottom-left of any page, or disable cookies entirely in your browser settings.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the third parties we use store data outside Australia: Google (Google Workspace mailbox, Analytics, Tag Manager — primarily United States), Hostinger (web hosting infrastructure — primarily Singapore, Lithuania and other Hostinger datacenters), Urable (booking + payments — primarily United States) and CookieYes (consent record — primarily European Union). We take reasonable steps to ensure each provider handles your data consistently with the APPs and their own published privacy frameworks (for example, Google and CookieYes operate under standard contractual clauses and are GDPR / APP-compliant).
Storage and security
Personal information is held in password-protected accounts on Hostinger (web hosting + MySQL database), Google Workspace (email), Urable (bookings + payments) and on Beau's password-protected business devices. Each provider implements industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS) and at-rest protections on their managed databases. Access on our side is limited to Beau as the sole trader and any accountant or bookkeeper engaged in confidence.
Service records and invoices are retained for at least seven years to comply with Australian tax law. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you (APP 12)
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete (APP 13)
- Ask us to delete information that we no longer need (subject to tax retention obligations)
- Withdraw consent to marketing or social-media posting at any time
- Make a complaint about how we have handled your information
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@a1autostyling.com.au with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.
